Compare Retreats helps travelers find and book wellness retreats worldwide — filtered by destination, retreat type (yoga, ayurveda, detox, and over twenty other categories), and price. The discovery experience needed to handle a genuinely large, continuously growing inventory across every continent without collapsing into an unusable wall of filters.
Alongside the booking platform sits Compare Retreats Magazine — a full editorial arm publishing destination guides, resort reviews, and wellness journalism across six content pillars, in English and Chinese. We built these as two connected systems: the magazine drives organic discovery and credibility, and links directly back into the booking flow, rather than existing as a disconnected content site.
Built for scale and discovery
With retreats spanning the Americas, Europe, Africa & the Middle East, and Asia & Oceania, the platform's destination and category taxonomy had to stay genuinely browsable rather than becoming an unstructured list — a meaningful information-architecture problem at this scale, solved through layered destination/category navigation and price-tier filtering.
